Matharaasa pattinam  alias Chennai ,  asking for tourist visa to matharaasa pattinam gives glimpse for audience, without knowing the present Chennai, a lady coming for searching her old lover.  when she landed in chennai story picks up speed like rocket launcher, going ages back and showing the old  beautiful matharaasa pattinam for our eyes.  Art director took very much pain for showing such a wonderful delight for the audience.

Only thing in the world which demands nothing in return - Love, 

a true love  always gives pain, even in this film is not exceptional too.

it is a pre-independence movie, so every scene elaborating  how much we pay to get the freedom,  ruled by the Britishers for decades and even we also tastes some gains during that  periods too. 

when ever  a foreign soldier or officer get hurt by our indian, whole theater celebrates with applause. it shows how much we suffered in the hands of britishers .  

it gives much pleasure to see the old city with less traffic and less vehicles on the streets. trams and rickshaw pullers shows the mode of transportation. 

even a small character fulfills their job with more attention and the director gives values for the characters too.  

Indians are always strong enough to fight for the independence, as well as showing their muscle power too. Only thing always gives weaker side for the story is, why foreign girl coming to india falls love with indian youth?? 

When ever fights arising between the upper and lower class of people, hero jumps in to action for stopping all these ill happenings??

Apart from these all , director succeeds what he wants to convey to the audience, every scene coming out with more cautious  and make what happens next?

performance wise, arya steals the lime light and donning the whole movie on his shoulder( he done lot of muscle work for this??)

new face ami jackson gives equal strength to arya for a rival fight.

matharaasa pattinam really worth watching movie and surely win lot of laurels and awards in coming days to give value for the director for his sufferings.
